Job Summary
Quality Specialist focused on ensuring continuous compliance of Shared Health Diagnostic Services Quality Management System. Collaborates with Operational, Technical, Medical, and Quality departments to maintain accreditation and regulatory compliance, perform data analysis and quality improvement activities, and support audit readiness. Will travel within Manitoba to Shared Health Diagnostic sites and work primarily in an in-person office setting in Winnipeg; role supports a 7.75-hour day with standby/on-call coverage and a schedule that includes days and on-call as required.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in a quality role or similar capacity
- Knowledge of accreditation requirements, regulations and quality requirements for diagnostic services (laboratory, diagnostic imaging, transfusion medicine, NICT)
- Knowledge of quality management principles
- Knowledge and experience with data analysis and basic statistics
- Current registration/licensing with applicable professional body
- Graduate from an accredited school in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Cardiology Technology, or related fields; cross-training acceptable
- Certificate in Quality Management preferred
- Willingness to travel within Manitoba to all Shared Health Diagnostic sites
- Ability to work independently and remotely at times
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to workplace health & safety practices
- Criminal Records Check (with Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment
