Job Summary
Conduct internal audits to manage and monitor the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with AS/ISO standards. Provide support during external audits performed by customers or certifying bodies and present audit reports for management review. Oversee the lifecycle of customer and government-owned property while maintaining document control systems. Lead corrective action teams to determine root causes and verify countermeasure effectiveness. Assist Software Development teams within an Agile environment and serve as the primary liaison for quality matters.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or other technical field
- At least 3 – 5 years of Aerospace Quality experience in quality control, quality assurance, or a similar role
- Experience with Quality and Aerospace industry standards (ISO9001:2015, AS:9100D, AS:9115A)
- Experience conducting internal QMS process audits
- Experience with investigating quality issues in a methodical manner ultimately resulting in a report that identifies containment, root cause, and corrective and preventative actions
- Excellent technical writing, oral communication, and presentation skills for reporting and briefing Customers, Auditors and Senior Leadership
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and customer representatives
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret//SCI Security Clearance from the U.S. Government
- U.S. Citizenship
- 100% on-site in Ypsilanti, MI
Desired Qualifications
- Active TS//SCI Government Clearance
- AS9100D Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor Certification
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail
- An understanding of Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) 8D Methodology
- Experience in preparation and review of program planning and processes
- Understanding of software development in an Agile environment
- Knowledge of software development Configuration and Data Management processes
