Job Summary
Undertake detailed scoping of maintenance and repair works, conduct quality assurance and work-in-progress inspections, and review contractor workmanship to ensure compliance with standards. Provide coaching and feedback to trades, monitor project timelines, and identify quality trends or risks for escalation. Liaise with clients and stakeholders to resolve concerns, maintain accurate documentation and reports, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Approximately 80% of time is spent on-site with 20% on administration, requiring a current New Zealand driver's license and working rights. This role supports BGIS's global facilities management mission to deliver exceptional customer outcomes and improve the safety and longevity of critical infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Experience within construction, maintenance, facilities management, housing, project delivery, or property services environments
- Strong understanding of how buildings are constructed, maintained, and repaired throughout their lifecycle
- Ability to understand maintenance processes, work sequencing, contractor dependencies, and project timeframes
- Experience conducting site inspections, quality assurance activities, or contractor oversight
- Strong understanding of quality control, compliance, risk management, and safety requirements
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to accurately scope works and identify maintenance requirements
- Confident using technology including Microsoft Office, tablets, and mobile devices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Current New Zealand Driver Licence
- Current New Zealand working rights
