Job Summary
Conduct thorough reviews of case files, assessments, and documentation to assess compliance with legal mandates, agency policies, and quality standards. Monitor psychotropic medications and child placement agreements, ensuring adherence to state, federal, and policy requirements. Analyze data to identify strengths, patterns, and areas for improvement in case management practices, then collaborate with caseworkers and supervisors to provide technical assistance and enhance service delivery. Develop and implement quality improvement training resources while participating in multidisciplinary case review meetings. Perform regular audits and analyze weekly performance reports to support continuous education and operational goals. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, sociology or related human services
- Certification as a credentialed Child Welfare Case Manager through Florida Certification Board
- A minimum of two years of experience in the field of child welfare
- Must meet the Children's Network requirements for certification as a Child Protection Specialist within one year of hire into the position unless exempted by Children's Network management
- Valid driver's license required, with proof of insurance
- Driver's license check is a requirement
- Criminal background screening (fingerprinting) (Local Law Enforcement and FBI/FDLE)
- Drug Screening is a requirement
- Children's Network participates in E-Verify
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, board of directors, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, percentages, ability to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to be proactive, as well as handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must be able to drive and have reliable transportation to perform required field-based activities
- Maintain regular in-office attendance when not performing required field-based duties
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
