Quality/Resolution Coordinator - Automotive Glass

Job Summary

Gather information on problems and concerns from customers and facilitate resolutions by coordinating with Production teams. Coordinate containment of all quality concerns, manage customer sorts including minimal travel to oversee sorts, and maintain the corrective action system by distributing quality packages and reporting status via customer portals. Schedule and lead cross-functional meetings focusing on customer quality issues, generate daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports including PPM Reports, and issue Return Material Authorizations. Prepare and present corrective action responses to senior leadership and customer representatives while influencing work output across the organization. Perform these duties on a full-time basis at the Shelbyville, IN manufacturing facility, requiring regular presence on the production floor across all shifts including weekend and holiday coverage.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a related discipline or a combination of equivalent education and experience or equivalent experience
  • Previous work experience in production quality assurance, customer quality assurance
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize problem solving tools such as Six Sigma, Fishbone, KT, 8D, etc
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills including use of Microsoft office suite, etc
  • Quality systems (IATF 16949) knowledge
  • Previous experience with document control systems and/or customer portals
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated detail oriented; strong organization skills; strong analytical skills; and project management skills
  • Ability to develop and present solid solutions to team members and Management
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the facility for extended periods, climb stairs/platforms, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
  • Regular presence required on the production floor across all shifts, including periodic off-shift, weekend, and holiday coverage

Desired Qualifications

  • IATF 16949 auditor certification
  • Engineering or Quality experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Six sigma green belt or black belt certification
  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline or a combination of related education and experience
