Job Summary
Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of complex precision machined parts and received materials using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment. Document all inspection results, issue non-conformances, and notify relevant teams about discrepant conditions while maintaining accurate records of incoming inspections. Set up gages for floor inspection, follow the tag system, and fill out, stamp, and sign quality inspections. Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and quality departments to resolve quality issues with incoming goods. Comply with all safety rules, guidelines, and OSHA policies while promoting a culture of safety awareness and Housekeeping 5S/Lean practices.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to two years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to use and operate Coil Cart
- Ability to use and operate Micrometer
- Ability to use and operate Calipers
- Ability to use and operate Scale
- Ability to use and operate Fork Truck
- Ability to use and operate Bander
- Ability to use and operate Bander Cutters
- Ability to use and operate Side Loader
- Ability to use and operate computer
- Fork Truck Training
