Job Summary
Define and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives for new product development and volume ramp-up, leveraging data-driven insights to achieve a zero-defect mindset. Analyze quality performance metrics like DPPM to identify trends and root causes, while fostering relationships with external customer QA teams to ensure alignment. Implement customer-specific quality requirements and standards for automotive products, leading cross-functional teams to resolve critical issues and manage supplier excursions. Serve as a representative on external standards committees and ensure compliance with industry regulations. This role requires 10+ years of experience in product development or quality engineering and a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in product development or quality engineering teams
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or a related field
- Excellent communication skills, organizational, and people skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Solid understanding of new product development process and associated quality standards and business processes, semiconductor supply chain and production environments
- Expertise with statistical analysis, structured problem-solving methodologies – 8D, 3x5 Why, and making data-driven decisions
- Ability to manage supplier excursions and drive resolution of customer escalations
- Knowledge of commercial and automotive quality standards
