Quality Planning Engineer

Job Summary
Review customer specifications and prints to prepare for the manufacture and inspection of new aerospace work, including tooling and production part machining. Collaborate with engineering and quality departments to ensure seamless inspection, prepare 3D designs when expediting, and aid Prospect designers in aligning in-house prints with requirements. Assist Project Management with visual inspection and buy-off from CMS reports, while training as a backup for CMS reporting and submitting results to customers. Work HighQA Software in conjunction with the CMS Department and assist in creating FAI templates for APQP/PPAP documentation. Requires a BS in Engineering or equivalent experience, shop floor capability for up to 10 hours daily, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Overtime is required, with a 4-day work week option available.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Engineering or related field or 5-10 yrs equivalent experience
- Must be able to work in a shop floor environment for up to 10hrs/day
- Must have experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Overtime is required
- 4 day work week option available
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T
- 3D CAD and drafting experience
- Ability to work on several projects at once
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated
