Job Summary
Support the organization's performance improvement process by assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the overall quality and patient safety program. Investigate specific areas of concern identified by leadership and provide consultation to medical, administrative, and clinical staff regarding peer review, performance improvement, and patient safety issues. Translate clinical and operational data into actionable information to identify performance trends, formulate conclusions, and develop recommendations for continuous improvement within the Heart Center. Provide stewardship for medical staff, nursing, and other clinical professional peer review processes while monitoring and evaluating quality, safety, and patient experience outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree related field
- RN - Registered Nurse License - CA-BRN - California Board of Registered Nursing
- Minimum four (4) years progressively responsible experience
- Minimum five (5) years related field
- Recent experience or knowledge of healthcare regulations including TJC, Title XXII and other regulatory standards
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- CPHQ - Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality - NAHQ - National Association for Healthcare Quality
- CPPS - Certified Professional in Patient Safety - CBPPS - Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety
- Performance improvement and quality management experience
