Job Summary
Lead and oversee quality assurance activities in aerospace/interconnect manufacturing at Amphenol PCD; manage a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians; drive zero-defect initiatives; oversee First Article Inspection in accordance with AS9102; deploy PFMEA, Control Plans, inspection strategies; monitor key metrics such as scrap, rework, FPY, COPQ, and customer returns; coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering to improve process capability and reduce variation; collaborate with Supplier Quality on incoming material issues; lead audits and customer/source inspections; drive Lean and Six Sigma to improve efficiency and reduce waste; ensure alignment with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer-specific quality requirements; and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 QMS requirements
- Hands-on experience with FAI, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and CAPA
- Experience managing MRB and dispositioning nonconforming material
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong data analysis skills with ability to drive decisions using quality metrics
- Excellent communication skills with ability to interface with customers and internal leadership
- Ability to work legally in the United States (ITAR compliance)
