Job Summary
Quality Nurse responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and improving the quality of patient care and services across the facility. Coordinates quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives, conducts clinical audits, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements including CMS Conditions of Participation, The Joint Commission and state health department standards. Collaborates with nursing and clinical staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement, patient safety, and high-quality care delivery. Reports to the hospital administrator and works closely with the corporate compliance nurse.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred
- Current nursing license
- Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience; preferred in Quality Improvement, Risk Management, or Infection Control
- CPHQ preferred or willingness to obtain within 1 year
- Strong analytical and critical thinking
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in EMR systems and data reporting tools
- Education on quality practices for clinical staff
- Knowledge of CMS, Joint Commission, and state regulatory standards
