Job Summary
Execute the Near-InfraRed (NIR) program for on-line, in-line, and at-line methods, focusing on process monitoring, control, and the release of raw materials and finished products in compliance with CP Standards. Write deviations, lead NIR projects, resolve non-conformances, and author CAPAs to ensure operational excellence. Collect data for NIR calibration development, support validation of rapid analytical methods, and implement SOPs while training manufacturing staff on instrument utilization. Troubleshoot NIR process issues and provide analytical lab support to meet shifting business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Environmental Sciences, Biology, or a related scientific field
- 3+ years of experience in an analytical laboratory within the food, consumer product, or pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrated experience with general analytical laboratory practices, instrumentation, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in calibration development using analytical instrumentation software and method development in a laboratory setting
- Proficiency in NIR operation software (e.g., ISIScan, ISINova, Mosaic) or comparable laboratory software and tools
- Strong knowledge of Statistics and Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools
- Proven ability to make decisions under pressure, build cross-functional relationships across Quality and Product Supply, and apply strong problem-solving skills
