Job Summary
Conduct source inspections of vendor materials prior to delivery to Alstom, performing dimensional checks and reviewing supplied data. Record inspection results using provided tools, checklists, and blueprints, then release approved materials for shipment. Complete non-conformance reports for deviations, detailing descriptions and attaching images. Participate in MRB activities to support disposition follow-on inspections. Interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T while utilizing equipment such as surface plates, profilometers, and gage blocks. Manage supplier relationships and communicate status clearly to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Quality Mechanical Inspector
- at least 2 years experience
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or Certified Mechanical Inspector
- Experience using common inspection hand tools

Desired Qualifications
- Experience using common inspection hand tools, calipers, micrometers, gage pins, gage block, thread gages
- Experience using Mechanical Inspection Equipment include surface plate (and associated methods) Profilometer, Comparator, radius gages, Protractor
- Windows 10 and Microsoft office / Teams experience
- Demonstrate creativity to understand best inspection method to utilized available equipment and gages
- Good verbal and written skills to effectively communicate status
- Good interpersonnel skills
- Strong Quality skillsets
- Experience in supplier relationship and management
- Organized, reactive, agile, strong communication skills
