Job Summary
Lead and develop a team of quality inspectors in a defense- and manufacturing-focused ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System environment; own day-to-day inspection operations; manage DCMA and government audits; drive KPIs, CAPA, and corrective actions; lead returned product investigations and RGAs from receipt through root cause analysis and customer communication; maintain and improve the QMS; collaborate with upper management to set quality standards and conduct annual management reviews; require strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, and the ability to interact with shop floor teams, leadership, and government representatives; physical responsibilities include floor presence and office work.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing quality operations and a team of inspectors in a manufacturing or defense contracting environment
- Working knowledge of DCMA requirements, government contract audits, and FAR/DFARS quality standards
- Internal Auditor within an ISO 9001:2015 environment; Lead Auditor certification a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of effective root cause analysis and corrective action
- Excellent communication skills — able to engage with shop floor teams, senior leadership, and government representatives
