Job Summary
Oversee all quality functions, manage ISO systems, and lead Lean/Six Sigma initiatives in the plant. Develop quality standards and test plans for raw materials and finished products, while administering product audits and lab operations. Establish testing parameters, schedule third-party agency testing, and enact product holds to quarantine affected batches. Lead root cause investigations for customer complaints, create CAPA plans, and collaborate with vendors and sales teams. Act as the primary liaison for external accreditation bodies like FM and UL.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in quality, chemistry, chemical engineering, materials, polymer, business management or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in developing and administering quality programs (Lean, ISO, Six Sigma) and chemical batch making operations
- LEAN/Six Sigma certification
- ISO certification
- Strong communication (verbal, written, presentation, and listening) skills
- Proven problem solving and analysis skills
- Knowledge of inventory control systems
- Ability to build and manage a team
- Strong safety orientation
- Team player with strong collaboration skills
- Must possess leadership qualities
- Occasional travel may be request to attend training or company meetings/events
- Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs
