Quality Manager

Job Summary

Lead, manage, and continuously improve the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements. Serve as the primary contact for customer quality issues, audits, and concerns, leading root cause analysis using 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone tools to drive permanent corrective actions. Conduct internal, external, and layered process audits while developing and monitoring key quality metrics. Manage and develop the quality team, including engineers and inspectors, and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to ensure robust quality planning. Maintain document control, ensure environmental compliance, and follow all safety procedures. This full-time role in Toledo, Ohio, requires Monday through Friday availability with flexibility for long days, evenings, weekends, and travel. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 8+ years of manufacturing quality experience, plus strong knowledge of automotive core tools, is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field and 8 years of experience in manufacturing and quality roles, OR 10+ years of manufacturing and quality experience in lieu of a degree
  • Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001
  • Strong knowledge of automotive core quality tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and 8D
  • Experience leading a quality team
  • Experience working with OEM and Tier 1 customers
  • Demonstrated experience managing quality systems, including internal audits, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, manage deadlines, and delegate responsibilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn new software and data management systems quickly
