Job Summary
Quality Manager for Urban Sky tasked with planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System at the Texas location to ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. Provides site-specific leadership for quality assurance, continuous improvement, audits, and cross-functional coordination to ensure product safety, reliability, and conformance. Key responsibilities include leading audits to AS9100/ISO 9001, FAA/EASA compliance, managing QMS development, coordinating internal/customer/supplier/regulatory audits, managing Metrology Lab and calibration schedules, overseeing a quality team, driving APQP/FMEA-based risk management, and delivering KPI-driven improvements across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to meet quality objectives and airworthiness requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of quality management experience in aerospace/stratospheric platform industry preferred
- In-depth knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace regulatory requirements
- Experience leading audits and interfacing with customers and regulators
- Strong problem-solving skills (8D, 5 Whys, SPC, FMEA)
- Proficiency with JMP or Minitab
- Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must be located near Greenville, TX or willing to relocate to Greenville, TX
