Job Summary
Lead and manage a team of Software Quality Engineers across multiple aerospace/defense programs; translate program requirements into SQE priorities, define and implement SQE processes, verify software compliance, and drive continuous process improvements. Oversee supplier SQE activities, coordinate with customers and program managers, mentor staff, and ensure safety-critical software quality through verification strategies, code reviews, static analysis, and CI/CD/DevSecOps practices. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering/science, 5+ years in software development programs, leadership experience, DO-178/AS9115 familiarity, and ability to obtain security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in software development programs
- 1+ year of experience in software quality engineering with AS9115 and/or DO-178
- 1+ year of experience in coordinating with program leadership to prioritize and resolve technical quality issues
- Lead or management experience in a SQE team
- Ability to obtain/hold U.S. security clearance (as applicable)
- Ability to travel up to 10%
