Job Summary
Drive supplier quality management practices, pro-active risk reduction, and problem resolution with assigned suppliers. Plan and execute supplier audits while providing regular feedback and technical support to ensure they meet deliverables. Act as the liaison between suppliers, sales, and customer support teams to facilitate continuous process improvements. Develop and maintain the Supplier Quality Program, ensuring proper documentation and records are available across the site and supplier operations. Implement and monitor ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 programs, driving initiatives such as Six Sigma and 5s. Some travel may be required for supplier audits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or comparable experience
- 5-7 years of supplier quality audit experience
- Knowledge of Quality Systems: ISO 9000/9001, 14,000
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Strong PC skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in cross-functional and team-oriented environments within a matrix organization
- History of implementing best practices and a record of success in supplier management and driving continuous improvement strategies
- Some travel for supplier audits
