Job Summary
Manage the day-to-day activities of the Quality Team, coordinating efforts to meet company, site, and regulatory standards including BRC, ISO 9001, 14001, and A2 permits. Lead a small team of Quality Assistants while ensuring full deployment of quality strategies, systems, and processes to deliver class-leading product quality performance. Investigate and process customer complaints, manage corrective and preventative actions, and maintain an audit-ready status by tracking internal audits, non-conformances, and recommendations. Develop quality assurance metrics for internal and external reporting, deliver site quality inductions, and represent the Quality Department within the Site Leadership Team to drive continuous improvement and site strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Fully qualified BSI Lead Auditor
- Six Sigma Practitioner
- Competent user of MS Office, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
- Experience of ERP systems, preferably EFI Radius and SAP
- Extensive experience of developing and managing quality systems and audit processes with previous experience of BRC, ISO & food safety standards
- Previous experience in Print/packaging industry
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of operational/production kpi's
- Previous experience of line managing or supervising teams
- Q.S.E. knowledge/training
- Considerable exposure to quality, health, safety and environmental standards and practices within a production setting
- Fluent English – ability to communicate effectively with colleagues verbally and in writing and understand technical, production terminology
