Job Summary
Quality Manager responsible for development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and relevant API codes across production and field operations. Oversees inspection and testing programs, NCRs, material traceability, welding standards, NDE activities, hydrostatic/testing procedures, and documentation. Serves as primary QC contact for customers and inspectors; coordinates internal/external audits, maintains vendor qualification, and ensures compliance with API/ASME/AWS standards. Role requires autonomy, cross-functional collaboration (production, engineering, customer-facing teams), and occasional travel to customer sites for acceptance testing and inspections.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of quality control/assurance experience in oil & gas, pressure vessel, or industrial equipment manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 QMS principles and internal audit processes
- Hands-on experience with NDE methods; current NDE certification(s) preferred (SNT-TC-1A or equivalent)
- Proficiency in hydrostatic and pressure testing procedures
- Working knowledge of ASME, AWS, and applicable API standards
- Demonstrated experience maintaining welding certifications and qualification records
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and customer specifications
- Strong written communication skills with ability to produce clear inspection reports, NCRs, and job book documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
