Job Summary
Lead Mortenson's quality system on medium to large projects by implementing the Quality Management Plan from start to final acceptance. Establish and lead quality control initiatives, manage Quality Events, punch lists, and Non-Conformance Notices, and oversee third-party design and testing agencies. Resolve issues independently or with guidance from the Project Manager or Superintendent while coaching and mentoring Field and Project Engineers. Review project plans for quality requirements and ensure necessary corrective and preventative actions are taken. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering with a minimum of three years' experience leading project quality systems. The base pay range is $100,100 to $150,200, with higher amounts for specific office locations. Visa sponsorship is not offered.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent field
- Minimum three years' experience in the design, engineering, or construction industry with experience leading a project's quality system
- Strong attention to detail to organize and manage multiple project tasks
- Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Primavera Unifier
- Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of one or more quality systems: i.e., Malcolm Baldridge, ISO 9000, Lean, Kaizen, Army Corps of Engineers, Mortenson's Quality System, continuous improvement, value streams, etc.
- Experience with issue management, and inspection of work put in place
- Completed training in basic project management and supervision
- Current driver's license
- Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.)
