Job Summary
Lead the Quality Assurance System by developing the Quality Manual, creating work instructions, and ensuring full compliance with ISO 9001 and ASQ 9001 standards. Collaborate with engineering to define QA standards, perform calibrations, and manage non-conformance and corrective actions. Conduct internal and external audits, verify part quality using metrology equipment, and educate production teams on quality control issues. Supervise support staff, mentor quality control personnel, and execute a departmental improvement plan while maintaining ERP/MRP processes. Provide clear communication to customers and vendors regarding inspection reports, design intent, and concessions. Work on-site Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, including occasional weekends and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance or Engineering
- Minimum of five (5) years of Composite industry experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well organized and have the ability to multitask
- Attention to detail and good documentation practices
- Self-starter, results-oriented individual with ability to organize and analyze data
- Proficient with MS Office products and ERP systems
- Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident in compliance with ITAR regulations
Desired Qualifications
- AS9100 Auditing Qualification
- AS9100 ISO Certification
- Thorough knowledge of composite materials related manufacturing equipment and processes
