Job Summary
Lead and manage the company's Quality Management System in compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO standards, serving as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns. Serve as the lead for all internal, external, and customer audits, ensuring timely closure of findings. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects and improving efficiency while analyzing quality metrics to identify opportunities. Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities using tools such as 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why, and PFMEA. Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure quality standards are met. Train and mentor employees on quality systems, procedures, and best practices. Manage supplier quality performance and support supplier corrective action activities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field
- 5+ years of Quality Management experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO quality standards
- Experience leading internal and external audits
- Proven experience with process implementation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with quality tools and methodologies including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA
- Ability to analyze data and drive measurable improvements
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Automotive manufacturing experience
- Certified Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
