Job Summary
Lead and develop the Quality team while maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS). Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across quality and manufacturing processes, overseeing supplier quality and monitoring production operations. Direct quality documentation including First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, root cause analyses, and process certifications, and collaborate with customers to address deviations. Manage internal and external audits, ensure equipment calibration, and support new product development by defining inspection needs. Perform duties in a production environment with occasional nights and weekends, lifting up to 35 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years of manufacturing leadership experience
- Minimum of two years of experience in an aerospace role
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), APQP processes, and AS9100
- Experience with CMM programming and related software
- Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to train, mentor, and develop team members
- Ability to drive change and implement process improvements
- Ability to work independently and closely follow directions
- Fundamental knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques
- Fundamental knowledge of CNC machining/manufacturing machining principles
- High level of attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills (both interpersonal and written)
- Ability to comply with and pass all required background check and drug screening requirements, including but not limited to pre-employment and random drug screening as required/requested
- Ability to stand for extended periods of up to 6-8 hours
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs on a sporadic basis
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
