Job Summary
Oversees the organization’s quality system and quality improvement efforts, including developing and administering the program, training and coaching employees, and facilitating change. Responsible for establishing strategic plans, policies and procedures to ensure quality systems meet internal and external customer needs. Supervises the Quality department, directs quality control and inspection programs, ensures alignment with customer requirements (QMS/ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, SQEP), and collaborates with cross-functional leaders to drive continuous improvement. Requires leadership in developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust quality management framework, facilitating preventive and corrective actions, training personnel, and ensuring timely resolution of customer issues. Supports supplier quality initiatives and coordinates with EU counterparts on standardized global quality policies; position also involves occasional outside-hours availability for urgent customer, production, or personnel needs, and maintaining compliant documentation and training programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering or engineering-related field
- Five to ten years of Production Quality Management experience
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001) and quality system audits
- MBA is a plus
- ASQ certifications desired
- Valid Illinois driver’s license
