Job Summary
Quality Manager responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the facility's Quality Management System (QMS). Key duties include establishing quality procedures and specifications for manufacturing processes, reviewing customer requirements and addressing customer claims, coordinating with Supply Chain on external suppliers, driving waste reduction and efficiency improvements, leading quality reviews, mentoring engineers and technicians, supporting Change Management and site representation in Global Change Review, and enabling continuous improvement through data analysis, problem-solving tools (RCA, Kaizen, A3, LPA, Control Plan, Standard Work), and performance metrics. Requires strong knowledge of quality systems (document controls, SPC, sampling plans), Lean principles, and Six Sigma tools; Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent) and 4+ years of QMS/leadership experience; certifications in Six Sigma/Lean and ASQ qualifications preferred. The role involves leading a team of quality engineers and technicians, coordinating with operations and production, and ensuring competitive performance through robust quality practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in the Engineering field (or Associate Degree plus 4 years practical experience)
- Six Sigma or Lean GB certification highly desired
- Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Auditor/Engineer certification from ASQ desired
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience Leading a Quality Management System and/or Team
- Experience operating in a QMS environment, preferably with experience in the implementation stages
