Quality Manager

Job Summary
Quality Manager leads plant-level quality initiatives, overseeing QMS development and maintenance, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with automotive standards. Acts as the customer quality representative, manages escalations and corrective actions, leads APQP/PPAP, internal and supplier audits, KPI monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration to prevent defects. Applies Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies, maintains SAP quality data and reporting, and ensures compliance with TISAX, safety, and regulatory requirements. Provides training and development for quality staff and supports broader plant quality training initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in automotive quality management within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / VDA standards and quality tools (FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP)
- Proven leadership experience managing quality teams in a high-volume production environment
- Experience with APQP, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
- Experience with SAP and quality systems reporting
- Certifications such as ASQ (CQE, CQA, CQM) are a plus
- Background in Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma highly preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with customers and leadership
