Job Summary
Quality Manager responsible for planning, directing, or coordinating quality assurance programs, formulating quality control policies, and controlling the quality of laboratory and production efforts in a manufacturing environment. Key accountabilities include analyzing production samples and QC test results, monitoring QC systems, communicating QC information across departments and vendors, training staff in QC procedures, identifying process improvements, producing quality-related reports, investigating quality incidents to determine root causes, providing technical manufacturing support, developing product specifications, staying current with regulatory standards, defining sampling procedures, creating inspection and testing criteria, documenting procedures, updating SOPs/QA manuals, verifying material and product quality, evaluating new testing methodologies, directing product testing during production cycles, instructing vendors on quality guidelines, coordinating QC equipment selection, and monitoring new product development for mass production.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience
