Job Summary
Establish and maintain the quality management system for construction projects to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, specifications, and applicable codes. Lead quality personnel, develop project-specific Inspection and Test Plans, and manage the Project Quality Plan while generating performance reports and trend analysis. Supervise and mentor a team of Quality Inspectors and Engineers, conduct walkdowns, and serve as the primary contact for client representatives and regulatory authorities. Work various shifts, including swing, night, and weekends, while wearing personal protective equipment.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in quality control
- 3+ years in a supervisory or management capacity
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, quality assurance, or related technical field
- In-depth knowledge of quality systems and codes/standards relevant to construction or industrial projects
- Proficiency in document control systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and quality software (e.g., Procore, ACC, Bluebeam)
- Proven leadership ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Analytical skills
- Strong understanding of QA/QC processes
- Strong understanding of documentation practices
- Strong understanding of inspection techniques
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (including but not limited to; steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
- Ability to reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
- Ability to stoop, kneel, or bend on an occasional basis
- Ability to use telephone, computer system, email, or other electronic devices to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors
- Ability to lift, push or pull objects up to 50Ibs on an occasional basis
- Ability to sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/workday
- Ability to work various shifts, including swing, night and weekend
