Job Summary
Quality Manager - Crane responsible for leading, managing, documenting, monitoring, and analyzing Mortenson's quality system on medium to large projects; ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken. Responsibilities include crane logistics familiarity, crane manuals, crane safety requirements, wind-specific permit handling (FLAC data use and implementation, sail factor), and serving as an additional resource beyond wind. Lead the quality system, implement the Quality Management Plan from start to final acceptance, establish and lead quality control initiatives and corrective actions, review project plans for quality requirements, manage Quality Events and Non-Conformance Notices, oversee third-party design and testing agencies, and manage subcontracts and suppliers’ quality programs. Preferred qualifications expand on crane application and technical understanding, training delivery, and knowledge of testing methods across soils. The base pay range is $100,100 MIN - $150,200 MAX, with location-based adjustments; visa sponsorship is not offered. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent field
- Minimum three years’ experience in the design, engineering, or construction industry with experience leading a project’s quality system
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Primavera Unifier
- Knowledge of one or more quality systems: i.e., Malcolm Baldridge, ISO 9000, Lean, Kaizen, Army Corps of Engineers, Mortenson’s Quality System
- Experience with issue management, and inspection of work put in place
- Completed training in basic project management and supervision
- Current driver’s license
