Job Summary
Quality Manager leading quality assurance/control in an injection/molding facility. Responsible for developing and maintaining the quality management system, overseeing QA/QC processes, leading a team of quality professionals, and driving continuous improvement. Partners with Global Quality teams to investigate issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, establish and monitor quality metrics (including PPAP/APQP, scrap, COQ, and systems compliance), coordinates internal and external audits, and ensures regulatory compliance (IATF 16949, ISO 9001:2015). Maintains supplier quality, cross-functional collaboration with production, engineering, and logistics, and focuses on reducing defects, improving product quality, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering/quality management (master’s degree preferred) and at least 5 years of manufacturing quality management experience; Six Sigma/Lean and SPC knowledge; strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills; willingness to lead and train a quality team; and relevant certifications are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant quality management experience in a manufacturing environment
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, Six Sigma, Lean, and statistical process control
- Strong leadership and team management skills with track record of developing high-performing quality teams
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with emphasis on root cause analysis and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of industry standards/regulations (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, PPAP, APQP)
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with cross-functional teams and customers
- Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with commitment to delivering high levels of product quality
- Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt) is a significant advantage
