Job Summary
Quality Manager overseeing QA/QC for large-scale heavy civil infrastructure projects (highways, bridges, tunnels, dams). Develop and maintain the Quality Management Plan (QMP), ensure adherence to contract requirements and standards (DOT, AASHTO, ASTM, ACI), conduct audits, inspections, and materials testing (concrete, asphalt, soil, structural components), ensure regulatory compliance, and manage project documentation. Lead quality control meetings, coordinate with engineers, PMs, subcontractors, and inspectors, and provide training for project personnel. Requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field and 5+ years of experience in quality management for heavy civil construction; travel to jobsites is required. Certifications such as KDOT/MoDOT, ACI, Nuclear Gauge, and others are preferred. Must be able to travel, pass drug and background checks, and perform in-person work in outdoor and lab environments, including night shifts as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in quality management for heavy civil construction projects
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- KDOT/MoDOT Certifications – preferred
- ACI Concrete Certification – preferred
- Nuclear Gauge Certification – preferred
- ACI Strength Certification – preferred
- Field Aggregate Certification – preferred
