Job Summary
Plan, direct, and supervise project quality control activities in compliance with company standards and owner contracts. Prepare quality control procedures and review departmental procedures for correctness. Issue and implement the quality assurance program manual, perform audits, and prepare responses to RFQs and RFPs regarding QA and QC. Act as a liaison with owners, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and internal departments on quality matters. Ensure adequate corrective measures are implemented for noncompliance and report to the director of Central Engineer and Quality Management. Perform internal and external audits to maintain quality control requirements. Role is site-based with 70% duties in a temperature-controlled environment and 30% in the field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience
- 4+ years of related/applicable experience in quality control
- Thorough working knowledge of regulatory agency quality assurance/quality control activities
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership, communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
- Strong work ethic to complete tasks in a high-quality manner
- Solid attention to detail with the ability to be a problem solver
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- 70% of duties are performed in a temperature controlled, fluorescent-light environment
- 30% of duties are performed in the field
- Some lifting between 0-20lbs is required
