Job Summary
Lead QA/QC program across design, construction, and environment; develop and implement project-specific QA activities including Project Quality Plans and ITPs; ensure CAR/NCRs from audits are addressed in collaboration with the District Quality Manager; verify fabrication, PWHT, and NDE requirements at field sites; manage documentation review, analysis, and turnover documentation; conduct quality audits, manage subcontractor turnover, drive continuous improvement, and provide QA/QC training; oversee supplier/material qualification (MTRs, CRN, and code compliance); lead internal and external audits, management reviews, and KPI monitoring; collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction to ensure adherence to codes and standards; promote a culture of quality and safety; ensure regulatory compliance and develop inspection/test plans; prepare audit reports and support field QA/QC personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience in the construction industry with a strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes for design, construction and/or environment
- Experience in Oil and Gas facilities is an asset
- Professional Engineering (P. Eng.) designation is highly desirable
- Quality Management Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards
- Proficiency in interpreting contracts, government regulations, and technical standards
- Demonstrated expertise in continuous improvement methodologies and value-added processes
- Strong analytical, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills relevant to quality management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Blue Beam, Power BI, and Construction Management System (CMS) software
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet aggressive internal and external deadlines
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings such as P&ID’s, and isometric drawings
- Proficient understanding of welding processes, WPS and welder qualifications
- General experience and knowledge of earthworks, geotechnical, formwork and concrete, super-structural steel, architectural and/or infrastructure considered an asset
- CWB Level II Certified Welding Inspector is an asset
- Competent knowledge of ASME and CSA Codes
- Knowledge of Electrical code and standards
