Job Summary
Own quality across the entire flow from supplier dock to customer door by inspecting parts, writing acceptance standards, and coaching suppliers on process controls. Drive the QMS by managing CAPA pipelines, non-conforming product trends, and audit readiness while building leadership dashboards for cost of poor quality and first-pass yield. Resolve customer complaints, field failures, and warranty claims through 8D reports and corrective actions. Author written criteria for every part family and chair the Material Review Board. Partner weekly with Supply Chain and lead a team of inspectors, technicians, and supplier quality engineers. Lead new product launches like the Luna Reformer and qualify new manufacturing sources including international operations.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive quality experience in discrete manufacturing
- 3+ years leading a team
- Hands-on, still-in-it experience
- Hands-on ownership of a QMS (QT9 or equivalent)
- CAPA management
- NCP management
- MRB management
- Audit management
- Real supplier quality experience
- FAI experience
- PPAP or equivalent experience
- Supplier audits
- Corrective action follow-through
- Experience with small or informal suppliers
- Direct customer-facing experience
- Complaint resolution experience
- 8D reporting experience
- A knack for writing acceptance criteria
- Comfort building metrics and dashboards in Excel
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with premium consumer, fitness, or furniture products
- ASQ certification (CQM/OE, CQE)
- Experience qualifying international manufacturing sources
- Lean background
- Theory of Constraints background
- NPI experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
