Job Summary
Quality Manager leads the organization's Quality Control and Quality Assurance functions, owning the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, overseeing inspection of sheet metal, cable and electronic assemblies, leading CAPA, internal/external audits, supplier quality, MRB, and continuous improvement initiatives. Works cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and senior management to deliver high-quality products and maintain compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. Establishes quality metrics, leads a QC/QA team, applies SPC and quality tools, and manages budget and supplier qualification while coordinating with customers and audits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical field; ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification strongly preferred
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 standards and managing a QMS through external certification audits
- Ability to read and interpret assembly and specification drawings; proficiency with QA tools (calipers, torque screwdrivers, cable testers, volt/ohm meters) a plus
- Experience with ERP systems and quality management software a plus
- Strong leadership and supervisory experience in a manufacturing quality environment
- Ability to perform statistical analysis (SPC, Cp/Cpk, MSA/Gage R&R) and develop control charts
- Ability to interact with customers, regulatory agencies, and external auditors
- Up to 25% travel
- Bachelor's degree or 6-8 years of progressive quality experience if no degree
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification strongly preferred
- Must be proficient in ISO 9001:2015 standards and have demonstrated experience managing a QMS through external certification audits
