Job Summary
Quality Manager to oversee the management, implementation, and training of AP’s quality processes on construction projects, starting with a Data Center project in Harwood, ND. Responsibilities include monitoring quality activities, inspections, coaching staff, ensuring contract conformance, participating in root-cause analysis, developing quality plans, and supporting pre-bid/post-bid activities, with travel to project sites and a focus on incident- and injury-free culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field
- 6+ years of quality control and quality assurance experience on a wide range of project sizes/types
- Formal QA/QC training and certification preferred
- i. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) certification preferred
- Formal building envelope commissioning training preferred
- Understanding of industry standards (NIBS Guideline 3-2013 Building Enclosure Commissioning Process; ASTM E2813-12; ASHRAE Guideline 0-2013)
- Experience with root cause analysis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
- Ability to travel to project sites
- Willingness to work in various climate conditions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to coach, mentor, and train staff
- Ability to review plans/specifications for quality requirements
- Experience coordinating with vendors and subcontractors
- Experience with site quality activities and submittals
- Procore software experience
