Job Summary
Oversee and maintain all aspects of Quality, managing people including Quality Engineers, incoming inspection, and the Internal Audit Team to ensure ongoing compliance with AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, IPC-A-610, and J-STD-001 standards. Provide leadership to continually improve functions and processes while maintaining required quality requirements, safety, and costs. Manage staff of Quality Technicians, Engineers, and Incoming Inspection Personnel, including delegating workloads, conducting annual reviews, and coaching supervisors on Quality Management System activities. Facilitate RCCA workshops on mistake proofing and process improvement, track key quality trends, and initiate corrective actions as needed. Ensure completion of PPAPs, FAIs, and validations to meet customer expectations while providing direction for Supplier Quality. Support internal and external customers by addressing quality issues, error proofing, and complaint resolutions through relevant reporting and recommendations to Management.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes & procedures
- Knowledge and hands on experience in Quality principles, practices, tools, and techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Visio, Minitab
- Ability to manipulate, interpret, and present data
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quality leadership role
- Previous experience managing a Quality Department
- Must be able to lift materials and product up to 30 pounds
- Occasional travel to visit customers or suppliers is required
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer Background in AS9100D and/or ISO13485
- Lean and/or Six Sigma certification preferred
- Previous Experience with AS9100D or ISO13485
- ASQ certification preferred
- IPC 610/620 certified or become certified with an agreed upon time frame
