Job Summary
Quality Lead Software & System Design in Toronto (Hybrid) leads across Engineering Quality, Industry & Supply Chain Quality, and Services Quality to raise discipline maturity, promote a culture of quality, and empower teams to manage quality daily. Responsibilities include supporting Discipline Process Owners to implement procedures, ensuring alignment with quality commitments, collecting and addressing questions, driving the discipline transformation plan, identifying trends, and ensuring timely corrective actions with root-cause analysis. The role requires extensive experience (10+ years) in railway engineering/quality, proven RCA/CAI/FIR experience, and leadership in quality management systems, with Six Sigma and ISO 9001/27001 knowledge. The position emphasizes cross-functional coordination, process improvement, and ongoing quality governance across bids, projects, and products.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years Engineering/Quality Assurance in Railway Industry or comparable experience in other Industry
- +5 years of experience in Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action Implementation, Failure Investigation and reporting
- +5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Manager (QAM)
- B.S Software/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Process Improvement Training or background (Six Sigma, DMAIC, ...)
- Good Working Knowledge of: - CENELEC standards - Quality Management Systems - Project Lifecycle and Deployment - Product Lifecycle - ISO9001, ISO 27001
