Job Summary
Implement and maintain the project Quality Management Plan on site, conducting field inspections and quality verification for underground utilities, earthworks, concrete mix designs, and batching. Coordinate and schedule required inspections, verify work against IFC drawings and codes, and document, track, and close non-conformances. Collaborate with crews and subcontractors to resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions while maintaining quality records and supporting audits. Interface directly with client quality personnel to foster communication and promote a strong quality culture aligned with safety standards. Work a 14 days on / 7 days off schedule with 10-hour shifts at the Highland Valley Copper Mine Site, supported by daily shuttle service.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of field-based quality experience on heavy civil, mining, industrial, or infrastructure projects
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection/test plans
- Technical diploma, engineering technology, CET/ASTTBC designation, or equivalent experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with field crews, subcontractors, and client representatives
- Willingness to work a site-based schedule in a mining environment
- Schedule: 14 days on / 7 days off, 10-hour shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with mine site work environments, procedures, and safety expectations
- Quality-related training or certifications (ISO 9001)
- Engineering degree
- Proficiency with MS Office and Bluebeam
- Experience with electronic inspection or document control systems
- Local candidates or commuters
- LOA (Leave of Absence) availability
