Job Summary
Conduct physical and electrical testing of LV, Control & Instrumentation, ABC, UL, MV, and HV cables while ensuring compliance with BIS, UL, IEC, and other applicable standards. Lead a team responsible for testing, inspections, quality assurance, and in-process quality control activities, driving continuous improvement initiatives through benchmarking studies and competitor product comparisons. Investigate customer complaints, quality issues, and non-conformities to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), while coordinating internal and external audits to ensure timely closure of observations. Monitor quality performance indicators, maintain testing equipment calibration, and prepare quality reports for management.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Must be conversant with BIS, UL, IEC and other applicable industry standards and regulations
- Must have thorough knowledge of cable testing procedures, quality assurance systems, and laboratory practices
- Strong technical expertise in physical and electrical testing of LV, Control & Instrumentation, ABC, UL, MV and HV cables
- Excellent knowledge of cable manufacturing and testing processes
- Sound understanding of BIS, UL, IEC and other relevant standards
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in quality management systems and audit processes
- Strong report-writing and presentation skills
Desired Qualifications
- Additional certification in Quality Management Systems, Six Sigma, ISO Lead Auditor, or equivalent
