Job Summary
Inspect incoming materials and perform compound quality control testing using approved measuring devices to ensure final processes meet specifications. Conduct internal and external cable failure analysis to determine root causes, verify device calibration, and maintain ISO certification by adhering to System Level Procedures. Support line operators with immediate feedback on quality issues, verify customer sample conformity, and prepare samples for shipment. Enter test data, file finished work sheets, and maintain legible quality records while complying with all safety rules and keeping the work area clean.
Required Qualifications
- Test equipment required performing specific quality tests
- Instrumentation associated with test equipment
- Recognition of product quality
- Tools and measuring devices applicable to the industry
- ISO requirements pertaining to Quality Control
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Read micrometers and other related precision tools
- Operate various pieces of testing equipment
- Prepare required samples for various physical/chemical tests
- Use handheld tools and measuring devices
- Read and understand industry and customer specifications
- Perform shop arithmetic
- Read and follow written instructions
- Communicate effectively to receive and pass on information and instructions
- Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently
- Continuously pay attention to detail
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Maintain legible and properly formatted quality records
- Interpret test results
- Work within a Team structure
- Knowledge of Lean
- Minimum of a High School Diploma
- Some quality testing experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Lift up to fifty (30) pounds from floor to chest
- Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm or 8:00am-4:30pm or 9:00am-5:30pm
