Quality Lab Technician

Job Summary
Lead the Prototype validation process to ensure product measurement, configuration, and testing conforms to Dometic-Sparta and customer requirements. Review and approve production assembly and kitting of prototype products while fulfilling Dometic-Sparta Blue Pack and customer-specific PPAP requirements. Perform random quality testing in addition to scheduled lab testing, document all results, and communicate any failures to appropriate team members. Maintain cleanliness of the quality lab and support other functional areas as needed. This role supports the Marine organization's electrified future in boating and boat building.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum (2) years of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and/or move product that may weigh up to 25 – 60 lbs
- Daily standing, sitting, walking, reaching, bending, and pushing / pulling
- ASQ CQI or Six Sigma Greenbelt
Desired Qualifications
- Inspect and Test Product to Part Number, Blueprint, or Standards, all FG Product, WIP, and Materials
- Understanding of BOM, SOP, and Work Instructions
- Understanding of Metrology
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to use measurement and test equipment (e.g., Variable / Attribute Gages, CMM, Optical Comparator, Burst / VPT, Tank Pressure testing, Gel, Impact, etc.)
- Familiar with Quality / Operations systems (e.g., 1Factory, MAPICS, INFOR, Smart System, etc.)
- Ability to perform Product / Process Audits
- Good communication skills – written and verbal
- Math skills
- Attention to Detail
- Ability to focus on detail while dealing with multiple projects at once
- Ability to work independently and within a team
