Job Summary
Cut, identify, and prepare samples of retains from production for testing, documenting results for coat weights, adhesions, release, extractables, moisture, and physical properties. Inspect samples for defects, inform personnel of nonconformities, and assist in tagging or removing labels from defective material. Perform data entry into computer databases and spreadsheets, file and purge physical samples into cores for customers, and maintain a clean, organized lab at the end of each shift. Assist in orientation and training for new lab technicians.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years plant experience
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures
- Basic math skill
- Computer skills (primarily data entry)
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret test procedures
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Detail oriented
- Must pass all three pre-employment testings (Lifting test, drug test, and background check.)
- Monday-Thursday 5:00am-5:00pm or a 2-2-3 schedule including every other weekend
