Quality Lab Technician - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Conduct laboratory testing of physical properties for various raw materials, compounds, and coated products using standard equipment and prescribed methods. Perform routine quality control tests to evaluate performance and support operations by retesting products placed on hold for defects. Assist the Quality, R&D, and claims departments with additional testing, including claims assessment, MRA customer return reviews, and plant trial sample analysis. Execute incoming inspections of purchased products and perform dock audits for finished goods. Audit SOPs and checklists as part of the corrective action process. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, one to three years of lab experience, and a valid driver's license. Reports to the Quality Manager in Columbus, Indiana.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 – 3 years of experience working in Lab setting or in a Quality type position
- Valid driver's license
- Legal authorization to work in the US
- Must be able to utilize all laboratory equipment (ex. tensile tester, shear tester, rheometer, spectrophotometer, x-ray fluorometer, etc.)
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Two-year degree is preferred with emphasis on Math and Chemistry
