Job Summary
Conduct material analysis using Met Lab equipment, perform metallurgical sample preparation steps including sectioning, mounting, grinding, and polishing, and execute Rockwell and microhardness measurements. Assist with cross-sectional microstructure analysis using optical microscopes, evaluate heat treat quality per part drawings, and provide quality inspections and audits on the plant floor. Perform specification sign-offs, assist with corrective actions for hold batches, and maintain periodic QC lab equipment. Work Sunday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm with first-shift training for five months.
Required Qualifications
- A high school education or equivalent.
- Basic math comprehension skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- An analytical approach to problem solving.
- Sunday through Thursday 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.
- Training will be on first shift for approximately 5 months: Mon-Fri 7 am to 3:30 pm.
