Job Summary
Conduct material analysis using Met Lab equipment and perform all metallurgical sample preparation steps, including sectioning, mounting, grinding, and polishing. Execute Rockwell and microhardness measurements, assist with cross-sectional microstructure analysis and heat treat quality evaluations per part drawing requirements. Provide quality inspections and audits on the plant floor, assist with corrective action and hold batches, and perform periodic maintenance of QC lab equipment. Submit specification sign-offs per customer requirements. Work Sunday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, with initial first-shift training for approximately five months. Required Qualifications
- A high school education or equivalent.
- Basic math comprehension skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- An analytical approach to problem solving.
- Sunday through Thursday 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.
- Training will be on first shift for approximately 5 months: Mon-Fri 7 am to 3:30 pm.
