Job Summary
Quality Systems Lab Tech responsible for monitoring and improving the sanitation program and environmental pathogen monitoring, reviewing HACCP records, managing the label verification program for allergen control and proper labeling, overseeing plant and warehouse GMPs, coordinating pest control, sanitation records (CIP/MSS), and internal audits; assists in quality/food safety training, uses ATP swabs to verify cleaning effectiveness and trends, performs daily inspections and root cause analyses with Operations to implement CAPA, provides back-up in the Quality Laboratory, and supports the Quality Supervisor as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a science field or a minimum of one year of experience in a food manufacturing facility or laboratory
- Demonstrated ability to understand and organize technical data for communications and analysis
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and possess good interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized
- The ideal candidate possesses certifications in HACCP/HARPC, and SQF; and training in environmental monitoring, auditing and statistical process control
