Job Summary
Quality Lab Associate I responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis on raw materials, solutions, and components following approved SOPs and test methods. Duties include analyzing organic or inorganic compounds using chromatography and spectroscopy, maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory instruments, preparing test solutions/reagents, ensuring safety and compliance with standards, monitoring procedures, handling data entry into LIMS, performing general housekeeping, and completing routine audits. Requires a B.S. in Chemistry (or related natural sciences) with at least 1 year of lab experience or a Master’s degree, proficiency with lab instrumentation and GDPs, and familiarity with regulatory guidelines (FDA, GLP, QSR, cGMP). Location based in Marion, North Carolina, US. The role emphasizes collaboration within the Quality organization, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and ensure product quality for global operations.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Natural Sciences: Chemistry preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Chemistry Laboratory or Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences with relevant experience in a Chemistry Laboratory
- Proficiency with lab instrumentation and data systems (LIMS, TrackWise)
- Familiarity with GDPs (Good Documentation Practices)
- Proficient with at least three lab techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, AA, Flame Photometry, FTIR, UV-Vis)
- Ability to follow SOPs and comply with FDA, GLP, QSR and cGMP regulations
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities
- Digital literacy (Word, Excel)
